GRRPC CCW Information

GRRPC is offering CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon) Classes, taught by Roy Harvey of Grand Rapids, MI, an NRA Certified Instructor and Firefighter experienced in tactical shooting. The classroom portion is held during the evening in two sessions at Roy’s office in Standale. The 4 hour range instruction portion is conducted at GRRPC.

Classroom in Standale: September 17 and September 22. Evenings

October 25 - 4 PM range session approx 3 hours
Classroom in Standale: October 23 and October 27. Evenings

Roy does have 9mm guns for those that do not have their own. May also purchase 9mm ammo from Roy if needed.

Highlights of the program:

• Safe storage, use and handling of a pistol
• Ammunition knowledge and the fundamentals of pistol shooting
• Firearms and the law, including civil liability issues and the use of deadly force
• Avoiding criminal attack and controlling a violent confrontation
• All laws that apply to carrying a concealed pistol in Michigan
